BC Coatings has recently announced the availability of its flagship coating, recognised by the generic range descriptor of “U-Flon”.
U-Flon is the product of many years of testing and fine tuning, resulting in a premium, top end product, designed to perform in the harshest environment for the maximum length of time.
U-Flon is based on fluoropolymer chemistry made famous in non-stick cookware surfaces and has the ability to shed and repel aggressive contaminants whilst also resisting changes to gloss and colour generated by long term exposure to sun, wind and water.
Applicators will select U-Flon when specifications call for maximum external performance in areas such as:
• Building & architectural facades
• Rail, bus & aviation equipment
• Public structures, park and sporting fixtures
• Metal fencing, panelling and partitions in high wear or graffiti prone areas.
Designed to be applied by air or airless application, U-Flon is a two component, aliphatic isocyanate crosslinked polymer, which can either be cured under ambient conditions or accelerated by a low bake temperature cycle.
Initially released in white and clear, U-Flon will soon be available in a range of colours and effects, as well as selected levels of gloss.
